TUESDAY 04 DEC 2018, 19H
49 NORD 6 EST - FRAC LORRAINE - METZ (57)
Time and Music
Eric Maestri, composer and musicologist
While time can be measured objectively using instruments like the hourglass or the clock, perception of time is fluid. Sometimes minutes seem to draw out into centuries, or on the contrary, hours slip by all too quickly. Many musicians and composers have played with perceptions of time (measurable, psychological, etc.). Excerpts from recordings of contemporary works, pages of scores, and texts by artists will afford us the experience of different temporalities throughout the evening.
The event is part of a series of apero-conferences organized by the Orchestre National de Metz / Cité Musicale – Metz.Share
