THEATRE DES TRINITAIRES - METZ
Wavelength: A history of free radio
Bérangère Vantusso, stage director
Paul Cox, visual director
Hugues De la Salle and Marie-France Roland, actors
Bérangère Vantusso revives the pirate radio Lorraine Coeur d’Acier [Lorraine the Steel-hearted], created in 1979 in Longwy by the CGT. The present performance is a tribute to one of the first French community radio stations, which functioned for sixteen months and reported on popular protests against the dismantling of the steel industry in the region. Discover a little-known moment in history thanks to the words of those rarely allowed to speak: workers, women, and immigrants.
