Les Aventures d’Ultra-Chômeur
While the superhero evokes the idea of force, athletic prowess, superhuman strength, and superpower employed in the service of good, the figure itself has continued to evolve. How do comic-book characters like Ultra-Chômeur (the Unemployed Man), Kamala Khan, and others, challenge the stereotypes and codes of representation? What do they tell us about changing social values? We will address these questions in words and images during a genre-breaking illustrated debate.
