Unpack, install, dismantle, repack\u2026 Through this ceremony, B\u00e9atrice Balcou awakens a work from the Frac Lorraine collection that has been lying dormant in storage until now. Through a choreography of meticulous and affective gestures, she introduces us to different temporalities and materialities embedded in the work and questions the way they appear and disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Frac questions itself, redefines itself, shape-shifts. Michael Kleine was invited to restructure the Frac’s reception areas. D\u00e9baller, installer, d\u00e9monter, remballer\u2026 Lors de cette c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, B\u00e9atrice Balcou r\u00e9veille une \u0153uvre de la collection du Frac Lorraine, jusque-l\u00e0 endormie dans les r\u00e9serves. \u00c0 travers cette chor\u00e9graphie de gestes m\u00e9ticuleux et sensibles, elle nous fait d\u00e9couvrir diff\u00e9rentes temporalit\u00e9s et mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9s de l'\u0153uvre et questionne leur apparition et disparition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Frac se questionne, se red\u00e9finit et change de forme. Michael Kleine a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 restructurer une salle du lieu. Entre diverses strates temporelles et g\u00e9ographiques, venez d\u00e9couvrir ce nouvel espace qui interroge la neutralit\u00e9 de l\u2019institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les artistes B\u00e9atrice Balcou, Beno\u00eet Pi\u00e9ron et Michael Kleine ouvrent une discussion autour des questions de soin des corps, des lieux, des \u0153uvres... Michael Kleine <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mise en sc\u00e8ne, performance, sc\u00e9nographie, musique, sculpture... Michael Kleine combine ces diff\u00e9rentes techniques dans sa pratique pour comprendre et transformer radicalement le lieu et le contexte dans lequel il s'installe. Dans un dialogue \u00e9troit - entre le lieu, son histoire, les visiteurs.euses, les \u0153uvres et l\u2019artiste - il d\u00e9veloppe des concepts qui mettent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve nos perceptions spatio-temporelles et surtout la vision arch\u00e9typale que l\u2019on se fait d\u2019un lieu d\u2019exposition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beno\u00eet Pi\u00e9ron<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a pass\u00e9 une grande partie de son enfance \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital, un lieu qu'il doit \u00e0 nouveau fr\u00e9quenter aujourd'hui. A 40 ans pass\u00e9s, Beno\u00eet Pi\u00e9ron a transform\u00e9 la maladie apprivois\u00e9e en un potentiel d'action. Artiste r\u00e9sident de la Pinault Collection \u00e0 Lens, de la Fondation Herm\u00e8s et de la Casa de Velazquez, il a expos\u00e9 au Palais de Tokyo ou encore \u00e0 la Chisenhale Gallery \u00e0 Londres, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomin\u00e9 au prix Ricard. A partir de sculptures, de patchworks, d'installations, qui empruntent souvent leurs couleurs pastel \u00e0 celles du linge d'h\u00f4pital, il a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une \u0153uvre dans laquelle l'univers m\u00e9dical se transforme en r\u00eaverie intime, en r\u00e9flexion sur l'attente, le jardin, la sensualit\u00e9.
