What happens when you imitate someone, or to be more precise, someone\u2019s handwriting? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does it bring us closer together or make us aware of our differences and our own distinctiveness? Over the course of several weeks, two individuals will be reactivating this work from the FRAC collection by copying extracts selected by the artist; then each will imitate the way in which the other puts words down on paper. Gradually, they will succeed at getting closer to what seemed simple to the other: tracing lines whose forms are partly tied to that person\u2019s individuality, and yet bearers of a shared language.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Que se passe-t-il quand on imite quelqu\u2019un, ou plus exactement son \u00e9criture ? Est-ce-que cela nous rapproche ou nous fait prendre conscience des diff\u00e9rences et de notre propre sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 ? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au fil des semaines, deux personnes vont r\u00e9activer cette \u0153uvre de la collection du Frac en recopiant des extraits de textes choisis par l\u2019artiste, puis imiter la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019autre a trac\u00e9 ses mots sur le papier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Progressivement, ils vont r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 se rapprocher de ce qui semblait simple pour l\u2019autre : dessiner des lignes, dont les formes sont en partie li\u00e9es \u00e0 son individualit\u00e9, n\u00e9anmoins porteuses d\u2019un langage commun.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
