The notions of community and generosity are at the heart of Jade Four\u00e8s-Varnier and Vincent de Ho\u00ffm\u2019s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition space, transformed into an ephemeral structure presided over by the fictional feminine entity called \u201cJacent,\u201d will become, for the duration of the banquet, a locus of exchange. The public is invited to take a seat in the mise-en-sc\u00e8ne designed by the artists for the evening, and to share the installation and become an actor in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jade Four\u00e8s-Varnier and Vincent de Ho\u00ffm consider art as an extension of life. They create atmospheres inspired by domesticity, where visitors are received as guests. Depending on the context, the country and the customs, the pair adapts its proposals which could be named as \u201ctotal art\u201d. A dinner, a fashion show, a caf\u00e9, a bazaar, a nightclub\u2026 many proposals that address the concept of service, self-giving and generosity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their work is currently presented at PSM Gallery, Berlin. They also had recent exhibitions at Sans Titre, Paris. They have recently been exhibited at the Bob\u2019s Pogo Bar of the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, In extenso, Clermont-Ferrand, at TONUS, Paris at Harpe 45, Lausanne, or at Lokal-Int, Bienne. Jade Four\u00e8s-Varnier and Vincent de Ho\u00ffm are the founders of TONUS, artist-run space in February 2014, guest of Paris Internationale 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Les notions de communaut\u00e9 et de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 sont au centre du travail de Jade Four\u00e8s-Varnier et Vincent de Ho\u00ffm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019espace d\u2019exposition, transform\u00e9 en architecture \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par l\u2019entit\u00e9 f\u00e9minine fictive \u00ab Jacent \u00bb, deviendra, le temps d\u2019un banquet, un lieu d\u2019\u00e9change. Le public est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre place dans une mise en sc\u00e8ne con\u00e7ue par les artistes pour cette soir\u00e9e, \u00e0 partager et \u00e0 devenir acteur de cette installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jade Four\u00e8s-Varnier & Vincent de Ho\u00ffm envisagent l\u2019art comme un prolongement de la vie. Dans leurs expositions, ils cr\u00e9ent des atmosph\u00e8res inspir\u00e9es de l\u2019univers domestique o\u00f9 les visiteurs sont re\u00e7us comme des invit\u00e9s. Selon le contexte, le pays et les coutumes, le duo adapte ses propositions qui sont souvent de l\u2019\u201cart total\u201d. Des d\u00eeners, un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 de mode, un caf\u00e9, un bazar, un night-club\u2026 autant de propositions qui abordent la notion de service, de don de soi et de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
